HIV/AIDS is an issue that I have at heart, and I became aware and involved at the age of 16, volunteering with youth organizations that support people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA’s). I worked in many areas of peer education and counseling. I started experiencing what partnership means, and how important this is with HIV/AIDS. I am inspired by people, myself included, who strive to make a difference. Some people say “life is beautiful,” but when you really think about it life is not always beautiful, which is a daily reminder for millions of people.
